CRMBT finished on Saturday, August 7 in Edwards in style. The riders completed 102 miles from Granby to Edwards after a challenging route the previous six days. We think most will agree that it was quite the route, living up to CRMBT's goal of consistently being Colorado's most challenging tour.
CRMBT has many people to thank for a successful 2010. First we would like to start with our wonderful volunteers--Pam and Dave Brunk, Ann and Dale Cook, Kathi Baird, Carol and John Knapp, Vida and Harold Luth, Fred Pack, Hugh Duffy, Mike McGarry, Cathy and Dan Schweitzer, Dale Trone, and our medical volunteer Reenie Zacardi. Without them this tour goes no where. They did a fantastic job and many riders commented how great they were. We would also like to send out a get well to Pam Brunk who is recuperating from injuries--Get Well Pam!
Next we would like to thank Technician JD Gibson with the Colorado State Patrol for his guidance through the hills of Colorado. Thanks for keeping our riders safe!
Without our partners our job would be impossible. A thank you goes out to Alpine Cycle Connection for arranging the lodging. Sherpa Packer for helping with the campers and always being there for us. Rocky Mountain Massage, Sundance Images, and A Spice of Life for making this tour a great success. We would also like to thank our sponsors. First we'd like to thank Illegal Petes for providing our t-shirts for the fourth year in a row. Thanks Pete! We'd also like to thank Shaver Sport for being our jersey provider. Here are our other sponsors-Lara Bar, Bora, Acclimate, Smith Optics, Planet Bikes, Eldorado Water, and JDS. Thanks!
A special thanks goes out to Ann and Hillary--what a great job and great help you two were--thanks a ton.
Lastly, we'd like to thank all you riders. What a great job you all did! This was an epic route and you came through the emormous challenge. It was a challenging week of riding but we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. You finished the toughest tour in Colorado! With things we learn every year we look forward to making next year even better. Thanks everyone!
